Drs. Tara and Michael Buchakjian are licensed Chiropractors, and also husband and wife.  We are committed to promoting optimal health and well being of our community, Hatboro Pennsylvania.

At Hatboro Family Wellness, we use a "whole person approach". This approach to wellness means looking for underlying causes of any disturbance or disruption (which may or may not be causing symptoms at the time) and make whatever interventions and lifestyle adjustments that would optimize the conditions for normal function. Using this unique approach, Drs. Tara and Michael Buchakjian are able to help you to accelerate and/or maintain your journey to good health.

Dr. Tara (Snyder) Buchakjian (most easily pronounced 'boo-cha-chin') was born and raised in Bucks and Montgomery Counties in Pennsylvania, but has spent the most time in Hatboro.  She is a graduate of Hatboro-Horsham High School.  Dr. Tara began her pre-chiropractic education at Delaware Valley College in Doylestown PA and received a Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.).  She was then accepted at New York Chiropractic College (NYCC) in Seneca Falls, New York.  After completing a 5 year graduate program at NYCC, she was awarded her degree as Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.) in 2004.

Dr. Tara has received the highest degree of certification available in the care of Pregnant Mothers and Children through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association.  Her lifelong passion to specialize in the care of infants, children and pregnant women lead her to pursue Board Certification as a Pediatric Chiropractor holding 2 year 120 hour certification and a 3 year 360 hour diplomate.  She is also recognized as a Fellow of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association.  Many of Dr. Tara’s patients are infants and children.  She continues to increase her knowledge and skills through additional studies in pediatric and perinatal chiropractic care through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association.  Dr. Tara is an active member of the
International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA). For children, Dr. Tara offers adjustments to restore the nervous system function and allow the body the ability to express a greater state of wellbeing and health. She has helped children with colic, nursing difficulties, asthma, reflux, and chronic infections.

Dr. Tara is also certified in the Webster Technique which is a safe, gentle, and effective chiropractic treatment that prepares the pregnant woman for delivery.  The technique seeks to correct sacral misalignment, balance pelvic muscles and ligaments and reduce in-utero constraint to the baby which allows the baby to get in the best possible position for birth.  The result is a safer, easier labor and delivery.  Because of the effect that chiropractic adjustment has on all body functions, pregnant mothers should have their spines checked regularly throughout pregnancy, allowing for safer, easier deliveries and optimized health benefits for both the mother and baby. For mothers who recently delivered, Dr. Tara offers to stabilize the pelvic regions as the ligaments are lax due to the hormonal changes of pregnancy and birth.

Eva_on_Pony_2.jpgDr. Tara is married to Dr. Mike and they have two children.  They also have a big black Labrador Retriever named Bear who may sneak out to greet you with a tail wag and a sniff when you come into the office.  Their children were both born safely and naturally at home and have never been medicated or received an antibiotic.  They each received their first chiropractic adjustment within hours after their birth and continue to receive weekly chiropractic check-ups to ensure that they grow up healthy and express their full health potential.
